Jacqueline is a businesswoman who has personally been involved in the equestrian industry as a sole-business owner, general manager, equestrian director, coach, equine trainer, stable hand and horse owner for over a decade. Jacqueline has a true passion for helping others and absolutely loves training both our human and our horse clients to become the best that they can be.

Education

Prior to starting Well Dressed Equestrian, Jacqueline has taken initiative to further her education by gaining her diploma in Entrepreneurship - Small Business. Jacqueline maintains her status as a Registered and Nationally Certified Competition Coach with Equestrian Canada. She has several certifications:

Jacqueline became an NLP Master Practitioner through the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology in July 2020 to better assist riders overcome obstacles in their personal riding whether it’s a fear based issue or a difficulty of learning.


COACH - CASSANDRA NYIMBILI

Cassandra started riding at the age of 8 years old and has taken lessons, part-boarded, and competed at schooling shows throughout this time. Horses are a passion of hers that began well before she started riding. She has worked with horses and riders of different levels throughout the years and recently started coaching. Outside of the horse world, Cassandra currently attends the University of Toronto studying English, History, and Indigenous Studies. She is excited to share her knowledge with riders and be with them for part of their equestrian journey!


COACH - JORDAN KENNEDY

BOOKING LEVELS: INTRODUCTORY, BEGINNER & NOVICE

Jordan had a love for horses long before she started lessons. After her parents finally let her go to one summer camp she was hooked, and started weekly lessons at 12 years old. Since then she’s part-boarded, competed in schooling shows and competed in a few off property shows. Jordan started coaching and found a passion for watching riders grow and learn, and loves seeing the same passion she has for horses in others. Aside from horses, Jordan currently studies Social Service Work at Seneca Polytechnic and is loving it. She is extremely excited to be a part of this team!


COACH - CALEIGH ANNE

Booking Levels: Introductory, Beginner, Novice, Intermediate & Advanced

Over 24 years of experience riding horses. Caleigh is passionate about teaching young riders of all skill levels. She has competed as a high level eventer, show jumper and dabbled in a bit of dressage! She was previously a working student for Olympian Ian Roberts and Michelle Mueller. She has learned from other olympians Jessica Pheonix, Boyd Martin and Doug Payne. She has spent a lot of time between Canada and the USA competing over the years. 
She is now focusing on bringing young horses through the levels. She loves giving opportunities to young riders to learn and flourish with a positive coaching approach!


COACH - GEOFF THOMSON

Booking Levels: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate & Advanced

Geoff has over 25 years of experience coaching, riding and competing (he was long-listed for the 2000 Olympics in eventing and has also competed extensively in hunter and jumper). He has taught riders of all backgrounds, levels and aspirations over the years and has a wealth of knowledge in coaching and training both horse and rider. Over his years as a teacher and mentor, he has successfully coached students to success at the North American Youth Championships, Trillium Championships and Ontario Horse Trials Association Championships in hunter/jumper, eventing and dressage.


COACH - LAURA GILLIGAN

Booking Levels: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate & Advanced

Laura started riding through pony club which helped her to gain great knowledge of horsemanship and introduced her to the sport of eventing. She continued on competing in eventing and while studying at Toronto Metropolitan University, competed on the equestrian team in hunter equitation catch riding. She completed her honours BA at TMU, majoring in culture studies and minoring in psychology. After university she started teaching riding and has been for over 10 years. She has taught riders of a variety of disciplines, ages, and levels, from first time riders to riders competing in hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage. Throughout her riding she has competed in various disciplines and as well as started young horses, worked with rescues, and exercised race horses. The experience she’s had helps her to adapt her coaching to rider’s individual goals and needs.


ASSISTANT & STABLEHAND - MARY ELLEN FRASER

Mary Ellen is your go to friendly face around the barn, she comes to us with years of experience with horses as well as educating children and adults. Mary Ellen works to make everyone’s experience at the barn the best one possible. When you need an extra hand or just have a question, she is the person to see. Mary Ellen has always had a love of all animals, especially horses, and always enjoyed sharing her passion with everyone around her.


STABLEHAND - KAT MICIAK

Kat started their journey with horses in early childhood and immediately fell in love with them, and soon started weekly lessons at a local barn. In early teenage years, they started to help out at a neighbour’s boarding barn after school which lead to the owner taking them under their wing to supervise their growth as an equestrian further. Kat eventually owned and showed their own horse until they moved to Canada in 2019 and was a part of the University of Toronto Equestrian Team for 2 years. They now hope to continue to pursue their love for horses and get their own horse again someday.

From a young age, Kiera has always had a love and passion for horses. She started riding at summer camp at the age of 5 and later continued to take lessons to improve her skills. Kiera is excited to now be sharing her knowledge with people who share the same love of horses as her.


COACH (on-call/ summer season) - LAURA WINER

Laura has been riding horses for the last 15 years and has had a passion for horses for the majority of her life. She got on her first horse here at Cedar Creek when she was 6 years old and quickly started taking lessons at an eventing barn and joined the competing world as well. Laura is a student at University of Toronto as an aspiring paramedic in their joint Paramedicine Program with Centennial College. She started coaching about 4 years ago and can’t wait to bring her spirit, knowledge and passion to Well Dressed Equestrian.


COACH (summer season) - TALYA MARTIN

booking levels: introductory, Beginner, Novice & INTERMEDIATE

Talya began riding horses at the age of six. Since then her love of horses has only grown, as she continually worked to improve her skills as a rider. Starting in 2019, Talya has spent her summers as coach. She found that she loves getting to watch students improve their riding and grow their love for horses. We are so excited to welcome Talya back for another season!


COACH (summer season) - ARDEN KELL

booking levels: introductory, beginner, Novice & intermediate

Since beginning to ride at the age of six, Arden has ridden and competed in equitation and hunters for many years on many circuits throughout Ontario. Arden also has experience working with young horses and believes in the importance of building a connection between horse and human. She has now taken her passion for horses and riding and turned it into an opportunity to teach others.
